Today I am excited to introduce Interior Designer Maite Granda, who nearly 10 years ago moved to Key Biscayne and establishes herself and the firm on the island.
In collaboration with Maite’s team, we’ll start showcasing this beautiful turnkey coastal style project, the client was being relocated from Switzerland to Miami and choose the island of Key Biscayne to live with their family. They contacted Maite via email as they wanted a designed with her sense of style and been a resident of the island was a big plus for them as well.
They met a month after and connected immediately, Maite interacted with them weekly via Skype and she recalls this been one of her favorite clients and process “Everything went beautiful with this project, clients were receptive to my ideas and collaborated fast to meet the deadlines” she recalls.
The Architecture design is from Marta Zubillaga and Juan Jose Zubillaga from the Zubillaga Design firm. Itself the design of the house helped tremendously, a modern layout structure with a lot of light and mixed use of materials from white-stucco, marble, limestone ect. keeping on the neutral gamut.
For the living room and dining area, Maite chooses white to keep the light reinforcing the summer house concept and modern look.
Then, continues with the dining room proposing a simple rectangle wooden table with a 70s retro metal chair.
And for the living room comfy traditional sofas.
On both, the use of traditional reminds us of growing up, providing that feeling of sentimental coziness.
Now, It is on her use of accents that color reveals the sense of summer or beachy atmosphere. Using just enough, to keep the modern look the architecture requires to maintain.
As you enjoyed her style stay tuned for more, to tour the Kitchen and Family room coming soon, the children bedrooms, patio and much more.
