For many years I lived on mainly land Miami Dade, coming to Crandon Park was a great plan for my small children. Now if you are born and raised in South Florida winter month have the best weather but we all consider the beach water to be extremely cold leaving it to our North Eastern and Canadian winter birds that can’t wait to come and enjoy it.
For me and most of us, Floridians residents winter month are to enjoy all sort of outdoor sports and activities such as bicycling, jogging, soccer and all activities related to enjoying nature and outside life. These bicycle carts are one of my favorite strolling with the kids enjoying Crandon Beach or going thru the mangrove pathway on Crandon Park. We can still rent ones and just remember as they were growing up.
As I moved to Key Biscayne, the carts became a symbol and winter month continued to be the best month for outdoor sport or to just get your errand done walking distance on the golf cart or the bicycle with the privilege of spending the best time relaxing at the beach. Now, for me, it is enjoying my winter birds college kids escaping from freezing temperatures!
